Trip Introduction

Our tours begin with a Kathmandu Valley is the cultural, historical and political center of Nepal. The Kathmandu valley holds a considerably high number of places recognized by UNESCO as World Heritage Sites.  The Valley contains three medieval cities famous for their arts and architectures - Kathmandu, Patan, and Bhaktapur. From Kathmandu, we continue our journey to Nagarkot for the mesmerizing sunrise views over the Himalayas. Then we continue our journey to the Lumbini-the birthplace of Lord Buddha. The road winds and switches back, making the trip thrilling. After refreshment in the hotel, visit the Lumbini Garden. You will visit the temple of Queen Mayadevi Temple and Ashokan pillar that marks the birthplace of Buddha. And the end our Kathmandu valley tour again.

Day 05:Transfer to Kathmandu

Day 07:Sightseeing Tour: Kathmandu Durbar Square and Swayambhunath Temple.

Detail Itinerary

  • Day 1
    Arrive in Kathmandu (1,300 m)

    Upon your arrival at the Kathmandu airport, you will be greeted by a representative from Thai Nepal Travels. After picking up your luggage and look for our representative with a Thai Nepal Travels display board at the arrival gate. After that, you will be transferred to Hotel. After check-in, you can take a rest, hang around in the city - it all depends on your interests and condition. In the evening we will organize a "Welcome Dinner" at an excellent traditional Nepalese Restaurant where you will enjoy Nepalese cultural programs as well as a fine meal.

  • Day 2
    Sightseeing tour: Pashupatinathe Temple,Bhaktapur Durbar Square and transfer to Nagarkot

    Today after breakfast, We start our tour of UNESCO World Heritage Site cities to Pashupatinath temple, it is the most important Hindu temple stand on the banks of the holy Bagmati River and is one of the principal temples of Lord Shiva. Then we transfer to Bhaktapur Durbar Square or the Town of the Devotees preserves medieval arts, architecture, culture, and lifestyle to this date. After that, we head for Nagarkot for the mesmerizing sunset views of the Himalayan Range. And overnight at Nagarkot.

  • Day 3
    Transfer to Lumbini

    Today, after the sunrise views over the Himalayas we have breakfast and start a guided tour by a drive to Lumbini 259.5 km from Kathmandu we are head toward more flatlands of Nepal's Terai. Generally, the weather gets hot and humid in the plains except in the winter. Lumbini is the World Heritage-listed Lumbini is of huge religious significance and attracts Buddhist pilgrims from around the world. Perhaps, In case we reach Lumbini around the sunset time, we can stroll to the local market to have a glimpse into the local lifestyle. We overnight at Lumbini.

  • Day 4
    Lumbini Sightseeing

    After breakfast we visit the Queen Mayadevi Temple that marks the birthplace of Buddha and Ashokan pillar made a pilgrimage here in 249 BC, erecting one of his famous pillars. We also visit the museum and peace pagoda and Lumbini Garden, There are many Buddhist Temples founded by the devotees from different countries: Tibetan, Chinese, Japanese and Burmese, Korean, etc. We overnight at Lumbini.

  • Day 5
    Transfer to Kathmandu

    Today after breakfast we drive back to Kathmandu. The journey would take about 6-7 hours. Upon arrival in Kathmandu, you will be transferred to your hotel. You can do some shopping or walk around in the streets of Thamel, or take a rest. We overnight at Kathmandu.

  • Day 6
    Sightseeing Tour: Boudhanath Temple and Patan Durbar Square.

    Today after breakfast we leave the fantastic city of Pokhara by fly to Kathmandu around 30 minutes and start our tour three of UNESCO World Heritage Sites to Boudhanath Temple and Patan. Boudhanath Temple is Asia’s largest stupa this is one of the few places in the world where Tibetan Buddhists culture is accessible and unfettered. And the last our visit today is Patan Durbar Square and also known as The City of Fine Arts and it is one of the places in the Kathmandu Valley where the medieval arts and architecture still remain in its original state. The Patan Durbar Square is full of ancient palaces, temples and shrines, noted for their exquisite carvings, mostly the Hindu and Buddhist monuments. We overnight in Kathmandu

  • Day 7
    Sightseeing Tour: Kathmandu Durbar Square and Swayambhunath Temple.

    Today, after breakfast, we start a guided tour to two of UNESCO World Heritage Sites to Kathmandu Durbar Square and Swayambhunath Temple. Kathmandu Durbar Square; it lies in the heart of Kathmandu city. The locals know this area by its old name Hanuman Dhaka – an ancient seat of Nepalese Royalty who ruled over the Kathmandu Kingdom holds the palaces of the medieval Kings. Then we visit Swayambhu meaning is "the self-existent" is popular among the foreigners as the Monkey Temple owing to a large number of monkey population residing in the area. In the evening you can do some shopping or walk around in the streets of Thamel, or take a rest, hang around in the city - it all depends on your interests and condition. In the evening, there will be a farewell dinner hosted by Thai Nepal Travels to celebrate the successful completion of our trip. Overnight in Kathmandu.

    Fly Home: Farewell Friend

    Our 8 Days Kathmandu- Lumbini Tour come to an end today. A representative from Thai Nepal Travels will take you to the airport approximately 2 hours before the scheduled flight. We hope you have enjoyed the tour with us, and we are sure you will be back making another trip somewhere with Thai Nepal Travels again.

In the case of the flight delay/cancellation after finishing off the trip, you will be responsible for all your expenses.
