Trip Introduction

Chitwan National Park is one of the World Heritage listed in Nepal. It reserve protects over 932 sq.km of forests, marshland and rippling grassland, and is home to sizeable populations of wildlife. Chitwan is famous as one of the best wildlife-viewing national parks in Asia, and you’ll see leopards, wild elephants, and sloth bears. Our tours begin with World Heritage site of Bhaktapur the city of Devotee, this is a place to wander around aimlessly, soaking up the atmosphere. And we head to Nagarkot for the mesmerizing sunrise views over the Himalayas. From Nagarkot, you can take the panorama of Dhaulagiri, Mt.Everest, Kanchenjunga, Ganesh Himal, Langtang Lirung, Pangma, Dorje Lakpa and Gauri Shankar. Then we continue our journey to Chitwan National Park the road winds and switches back, making the trip thrilling. After refreshment in the hotel, we have elephant safari activity, enjoy bird-watching.

Detail Itinerary

  • Day 1
    Arrive in Kathmandu (1,300 m)

    Upon your arrival at the Kathmandu airport, you will be greeted by a representative from Thai Nepal Travels. After picking up your luggage and look for our representative with a Thai Nepal Travels display board at the arrival gate. After that, you will be transferred to Hotel. After check-in, you can take a rest, hang around in the city - it all depends on your interests and condition. In the evening we will organize a "Welcome Dinner" at an excellent traditional Nepalese Restaurant where you will enjoy Nepalese cultural programs as well as a fine meal.

  • Day 2
    Sightseeing tour: Pashupatinathe Temple,Bhaktapur Durbar Square and transfer to Nagarkot

    Today after breakfast, We start our tour of UNESCO World Heritage Site cities to Pashupatinath temple, it is the most important Hindu temple stand on the banks of the holy Bagmati River and is one of the principal temples of Lord Shiva. Then we transfer to Bhaktapur Durbar Square or the Town of the Devotees preserves medieval arts, architecture, culture, and lifestyle to this date. After that, we head for Nagarkot for the mesmerizing sunset views of the Himalayan Range. And overnight at Nagarkot.

  • Day 3
    Transfer to Chitwan National Park 4-5 hours

    Today, after the sunrise views over the Himalayas we have breakfast and start a guided tour by a drive to Chitwan. Today you will discover why the National Park holds an important place in preserving the wild lives that are rapidly getting extinct from this planet. We walk on the banks of the Rapti River to enjoy the sunset in the sub-tropical jungles of Chitwan. In the evening, we enjoy dinner along with a brief cultural program showcasing the tribal dances unique to the Chitwan region of Nepal. We overnight in Chitwan.

  • Day 4
    Chitwan National Park activity

    Early in the morning, we go for bird watching or nature walks and come closer to a variety of wild flora. After breakfast, we ride elephants for a jungle safari through dense grasslands to witness wildlife in its natural habitat. During the afternoon we can drive through the jungles followed by a canoe ride down the Rapti River. While canoeing, we may get a close look at the Gharial and Mugger crocodiles along with fresh water. We overnight in Chitwan

  • Day 5
    Transfer to Kathmandu

    Today after breakfast, we start our 185 kilometers drive back to Kathmandu. Better to hold on the left pane of the vehicle to enjoy the sceneries through the route. It would be an upward journey along the winding road that we came by. Upon arrival in Kathmandu, you will be transferred to hotel. In the evening you can do some shopping or walk around in the streets of Thamel, or take a rest, hang around in the city - it all depends on your interests and condition. We overnight at Kathmandu.

  • Day 6
    Sightseeing Tour: Boudhanath Temple and Patan Durbar Square.

    Today after breakfast we leave the fantastic city of Pokhara by fly to Kathmandu around 30 minutes and start our tour three of UNESCO World Heritage Sites to Boudhanath Temple and Patan. Boudhanath Temple is Asia’s largest stupa this is one of the few places in the world where Tibetan Buddhists culture is accessible and unfettered. And the last our visit today is Patan Durbar Square and also known as The City of Fine Arts and it is one of the places in the Kathmandu Valley where the medieval arts and architecture still remain in its original state. The Patan Durbar Square is full of ancient palaces, temples and shrines, noted for their exquisite carvings, mostly the Hindu and Buddhist monuments. We overnight in Kathmandu.

  • Day 7
    Sightseeing Tour: Kathmandu Durbar Square and Swayambhunath Temple.

    Today, after breakfast, we start a guided tour to two of UNESCO World Heritage Sites to Kathmandu Durbar Square and Swayambhunath Temple. Kathmandu Durbar Square; it lies in the heart of Kathmandu city. The locals know this area by its old name Hanuman Dhaka – an ancient seat of Nepalese Royalty who ruled over the Kathmandu Kingdom holds the palaces of the medieval Kings. Then we visit Swayambhu meaning is "the self-existent" is popular among the foreigners as the Monkey Temple owing to a large number of monkey population residing in the area. In the evening you can do some shopping or walk around in the streets of Thamel, or take a rest, hang around in the city - it all depends on your interests and condition. In the evening, there will be a farewell dinner hosted by Thai Nepal Travels to celebrate the successful completion of our trip. Overnight in Kathmandu.

  • Day 8
    Fly Home: Farewell Friend

    Our 8 Days Kathmandu - ChitwanTours come to an end today. A representative from Thai Nepal Travels will take you to the airport approximately 2 hours before the scheduled flight. We hope you have enjoyed the tour with us, and we are sure you will be back making another trip somewhere with Thai Nepal Travels again.

Your safety is of paramount concern while traveling with THAI NEPAL TRAVELS. Please note that your leader has the authority to amend or cancel any part of the itinerary if it is deemed necessary due to safety concerns. Every effort will be made to keep to the above itinerary; however, since this adventure entails traveling in remote mountainous regions, we cannot guarantee that we will not deviate from it. Weather conditions, the health condition of a group member, unexpected natural disasters, etc., can all contribute to changes in the itinerary. The leader will try to ensure that the trip runs according to plan, but please be prepared to be flexible if required.

For the person who cannot continue tour until the end of the trip in case of any reason, he/she please note that there will be no refund. In the case of the flight delay/cancellation after finishing off the trip, you will be responsible for all your expenses. Please also note that you will not be entitled to any refund for the services (such as hotel, transport, flight, etc.) included in the package that you would not use later.

We will be providing you at Hotel Marshyangdi or equivalent in Kathmandu, Hotel Country Villa or equivalent in Nagarkot and hotel Hotel Unique Wild Resort or equivalent in Chitwan. All accommodations are on the twin-shared basis. Single supplement will be served on request and will cost an additional.
